"Friends Helping Friends".

January 2012 saw the initiation of a building project in Seraya (eastern Bali) where we are building new houses or renovating damaged and run-down homes where possible. Project Seraya, through donations, purchases the materials required and local villagers, with some help from volunteers, carry out the work.

These projects cost a meagre $960. This one off payment will offer a life changing opportunity for these desperately poor villagers; most importantly an immediate improvement in their living conditions and, ultimately, their health. Smaller donations are utilised for basic living necessities such as cooking utensils or mattresses.

If you choose to financially "adopt" a building project or make a donation of any amount you will be directly responsible for giving a family one of the most basic of life's essentials - secure and safe shelter. Building projects are regularly available and anyone wanting to become a sponsor will be offered a list of the potential projects and given the opportunity to select the family and home they would like to financially "adopt". Contact Sue Gillam on sueg@amitchgillamproject.com.au for more information.

Project Seraya is operated in conjunction with Carolia Charity Inc (Lic No 20591). Carolia Charity assesses the most desperate cases and formulates, develops and oversees the building projects in Seraya. 100% of all monies raised for this project goes directly to this project. Corporate or individual donations are greatly appreciated.
